Mooring alone at the dock is a difficult operation to carry out when you are alone on board. For this reason, the start-up Moorsimply has patented a mooring assistance device that, with just the press of a button on your smartphone, allows you to moor immediately and safely.
Its operation is very simple: during the unmooring phase, the stern lines and the line for recovering the dead weight line are fixed to the end of a mechanical arm mounted on the dock which, via an application on your mobile phone, is closed towards the pier once you have moved away from the mooring.
When you return to the dock, simply access the App to rotate the mechanical arm which will allow you to bring the end where the lines are constricted closer to the boat, their immediate recovery and safe mooring, without any need for assistance from land.
The device consists of a mechanical arm operated by a low voltage electric motor and controlled from a smartphone via a special App.
At the end of the arm there is a quick-release cleat system that offers the stern lines to the boater and a third line with a ring, inside which the submerged trap runs for the recovery of the mooring line of the dead weight.
Moorsimply is delivered complete and functional, with the plug & play formula.
It is available in the basic version and a business version that includes a service column with an integrated LED lighting device, capable of illuminating the water surface in the event of night-time mooring, and an infrared camera to monitor the boat even remotely.
Moorsimply has already received the favorable opinion from the operators who have included the product among the finalists of the International ClusterAct Matching Event, an international award dedicated to the maritime sector, which will be awarded during the next Genoa International Boat Show scheduled from 16 to September 22nd.
